Contractors will complete concrete chipping on the basement level of the Van Metre Garage on Monday, March 11, and Tuesday, March 12. Building occupants may experience loud noise throughout the building during this work.

Road and sidewalk closures will be in effect on the Fairfax Campus during spring break. HVAC maintenance is also scheduled in the Johnson Center.

A section of sidewalk on Patriot Circle just north of the intersection with Shenandoah River Lane will be closed for repairs on Wednesday, Feb. 28, from 6 a.m. to noon. The sidewalk on the west side of Patriot Circle will remain open. 

"It is a long letter because we have heard that community members first and foremost are eager to learn specifics about this process. Future communications will be briefer, but I am addressing the biggest call first: for transparency."

The internal directional signage is under repair in David King Hall and Exploratory Hall on the Fairfax Campus, and in Colgan Hall on the SciTech Campus.

Rivanna River Way and nearby sidewalks have reopened near the Hub. Repairs are complete after a water main break. The ADA ramp at the main entrance to the Hub is also available.

George Mason University will host a virtual townhall on Monday, January 29, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. to present a West Campus update for community feedback, comments, and questions.

On George Mason University's Fairfax Campus, Rivanna River Way is temporarily closed near the Hub for repairs after a water main break. Sections of sidewalk at the main entrance to the Hub are currently closed, including the ADA ramp at that location. 

The Hub and Rivanna River Way are temporarily closed for repairs after a domestic water main break to the Hub. The building and road closure will remain in effect until Monday, Jan. 22, at 8 a.m.

Due to weather conditions, the road closure previously scheduled for this weekend on Founders Way North has been rescheduled. Founders Way North will be closed between the Van Metre Garage entrance and the west entrance to Vernon Smith Garage from Friday, Jan. 26, through Monday, Jan. 29. This section of roadway will be closed while a tower crane is removed from the construction site for Fuse at Mason Square.

Contractors will work to clear a storm water pipe blockage at the intersection of Patriot Circle and Mattaponi River Lane on Thursday, Nov. 16. There will be traffic controls and heavy equipment in the area between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.
