April 2, 2024Construction noise and traffic changes on Fairfax Drive can be expected at Mason Square during the month of April.
March 28, 2024The university has decided not to move forward with the Washington Freedom on negotiations to build a temporary baseball and cricket stadium on the West Campus.
March 27, 2024Helicopter landings are scheduled at the West Campus parking lot on the Fairfax Campus on two upcoming dates, as part of ROTC training exercises.-
March 22, 2024The elevator in the Aquatic and Fitness Center (AFC) at George Mason University is currently out of service for repairs. These repairs are expected to continue for at least 30 days.

March 12, 2024On the evenings of Wednesday, March 13, and Thursday, March 14, there will be an increased volume in traffic on and around the Fairfax Campus, as well as an increase in on-campus parking, due to events at EagleBank Arena, with 5,000 attendees expected.

March 11, 2024Contractors will complete concrete chipping on the basement level of the Van Metre Garage on Monday, March 11, and Tuesday, March 12. Building occupants may experience loud noise throughout the building during this work.

March 5, 2024Road and sidewalk closures will be in effect on the Fairfax Campus during spring break. HVAC maintenance is also scheduled in the Johnson Center.

February 27, 2024A section of sidewalk on Patriot Circle just north of the intersection with Shenandoah River Lane will be closed for repairs on Wednesday, Feb. 28, from 6 a.m. to noon. The sidewalk on the west side of Patriot Circle will remain open.

January 25, 2024Rivanna River Way and nearby sidewalks have reopened near the Hub. Repairs are complete after a water main break. The ADA ramp at the main entrance to the Hub is also available.
